Champion the Mission

Raise awareness of SOARD in your company, industry, and community — and show up for events, campaigns, and room reveals.

Open Doors

Introduce us to potential donors, sponsors, partners, and volunteers — and share your professional insight and strategic guidance when we need it.

What we ask

A meaningful commitment, designed for busy leaders.

  • Serve a one-year termRenewable at the end of each year.
  • Attend four meetings a yearAt least four per year, plus ad hoc support as needed.
  • Help fund one makeover each yearA collective goal — through personal gifts, sponsorships, donor introductions, event support, peer-to-peer campaigns, employer matching, or member-hosted fundraisers.
  • Be an ambassadorRepresent SOARD and the families it serves — and share professional or strategic insight when needed.

The Advisory Board is advisory and ambassadorial in nature — members don't hold fiduciary, governance, operational, budgetary, staffing, or voting authority. Full details are in the Advisory Board Overview (PDF).

Who should apply

The board is open to anyone passionate about SOARD's mission and willing to actively help it grow — people who care deeply about the children and families we serve. We're building a group with a diverse mix of perspectives, experiences, networks, and talents. Strong candidates are ready to use their:
